Pokemon TCG Pocket Eevee Grove – Umbreon Art Nod

Pokemon TCG Pocket has released its latest booster pack, Eevee Grove, as part of the ongoing Year of Eevee celebration. The set includes cards for all eight of Eevee’s evolved forms, with a one-star Umbreon standing out thanks to its striking artwork. The card depicts the Dark-type Eeveelution on a moonlit street, glancing back over its shoulder at the trainer—a clear visual nod to one of the most sought-after physical Pokemon TCG prints in recent memory.

A Nod to the Coveted Moonbreon

The new Umbreon card is an artistic homage to the famed Moonbreon VMAX from 2021’s Evolving Skies set. That original print, showing Umbreon perched on a tower reaching toward the moon, has seen its value climb steadily since release, peaking near $1,400 earlier in 2025. Pocket’s version cannot be traded for real-world currency—virtual cards in the app remain outside the cash market—but it replicates the intense collectible demand that drives the physical hobby.

This is not the first time Pokemon has revisited the Moonbreon concept. A recent Umbreon card from Prismatic Evolutions—featuring a terastallized Umbreon in front of a full moon—also sparked a frenzy. That card briefly commanded an initial valuation of about $1,700, a higher peak than the original Moonbreon ever reached, and still holds a value above $1,000. The Eevee Grove Umbreon joins these predecessors as another reimagined chase card within Pocket’s growing library.
